The Third China International Cyclic Economy Expo

On September 25^th, 2014, the third China international cyclic economy expo was held in Qingdao.  This expo was co-hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China, Ministry of Agriculture of the People’s Republic of China, People’s Bank of China, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Shandong Provincial Government and Qingdao Municipal Government.

During the expo, the workshops for the recycling utilization of construction garbage and “Urban mining” regional synergy innovation, press conferences for remanufacturing product (Auto parts), were also held in Qingdao. Mr. Sun Kewei, the department of waste utilization of the State Engineering Research Center, Mr. Chen Jialong, China Association of Urban Environmental Sanitation, and other representatives of the enterprise such as South University of Science and Technology of China were invited to the workshop for the recycling utilization of construction garbage and evolved into an open roundtable discussion on the topic of how to promote the comprehensive recycling utilization of construction garbage.

ECP member company, Caterpillar, brought the equipment and technology for combusting COG with gas turbine using solar technology in CHP utilization. This equipment in one CHP plant expected to produce 28.2 megawatts of electricity and 60 tons of saturated steam. According to the calculation by EPA, this plant helps to reduce 188000 tons of carbon dioxide which is equals to exhaust emission reduction by 34182 cars, trees planting by 173 square kilometers, and coal saving by 84096 tons.
