On May 17th, supported by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce and the US Trade and Development Agency (TDA), China Chamber of Commerce for Machinery and Electronic Products Import and Export (CCCME) and ECP co-sponsored the third Sino-US Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Cooperation Forum and Enterprise Networking at Kunshan Huaqiao International Expo Center. More than 230 representatives of local government officials, environmental application enterprises, industrial parks and industry associations attended the forum and matchmaking activities.

CCCME vice chairman Shi Yonghong pointed out in his speech, as the landing project of Sino-US cooperation mechanism, the US-China Energy Conservation Forum and business matchmaking has been held for three consecutive sessions, attracting more and more Chinese and American enterprises, promoting cooperations between enterprises of the two countries. At the beginning of April, the heads of the two countries held their first meeting at Mar-a-Lago in Florida to start the "Hundred Days Economic Plan" and have achieved early results. Mr. Shi expressed his hope that both entrepreneurs seize the opportunity to achieve more fruitful results. Verinda Fike, East Asia Manager, US Trade and Development Agency, spoke highly of the forum, arguing that the forum has significantly increased the exposure of US companies and US technology, playing an important role in pragmatic cooperation between Chinese and American companies. TDA encourages more US companies to participate actively.

In the keynote speech, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Ding Yihui, focused on the impact of climate change on China's lasting serious air pollution, pointed out that to solve the continuous haze needs comprehensive measures, which is also an important issue of cooperation for the Chinese and American enterprises. GE, Dow Chemical, Emerson, Honeywell, Xylem, Birtley and other US companies and China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group, Central Joint Certification Center (CEC), etc. introduced the latest technologies and products in the areas of VOC management, water pollution control, brownfield management and other fields.

In the afternoon matchmaking session, nearly 30 Chinese enterprise users and the US companies held negotiations. In addition to the matchmaking with the enterprises, the US companies also discussed with the Kunshan City Environmental Protection Bureau, Huai'an City Huaiyin District People's Government and other government leaders, laying a foundation for future project cooperation.

As a supporting event of the import trade fair, the third China-US Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Cooperation Forum and Enterprise Matchmaking focused on "celebrity, famous brand, well-known enterprises", the duration of the meeting was extended from half of a day in the previous two sessions days to a whole day, with expanding range of radiation, from the first session of the local enterprises in Jiangsu has been to 12 provinces and cities in the last session, the proportion of enterprises from other provinces participating accounts for more than 50%.
